Hungry Ear November 30th @ 5:30

O'Brien's First Christmas by Jeanette Winterson, is about a lonely lady who works in a department store, surrounded by holiday reminders, and doesn't like Christmas one bit. It will be read by Janet Sarno. Sherlock Holmes takes the stage when Sam Goodyear tells Edward D. Hoch's A Christmas Client, who is being blackmailed and turns out to be famous in his own right. Judy McMahon and the Hungry Ear Readers have been giving dramatic readings of short stories since 2007. For further information call the Library at 607-778-6451.

Food For Fines Begins December 1st

The Food For Fines program is back!  For the entire month of December you can bring a non-perishable food item to library we will reduce your Broome County Public Library fines.  For each item donated, we will reduce fines by $1.  All food donations will be given to CHOW.

The Wright Brothers

If you like to read and share your thoughts about books in a friendly atmosphere, you are invited to join the Book Club. All are welcome to attend. The Group will discuss The Wright Brothers by David McCullough at the December meeting. For more information, please call the Library’s Information Services Department at 607-778-6451.

Holiday Hours

The library will close at 5:00 on Wednesday November 25th.  The library is closed Thursday and Friday but will reopen on Saturday November 28th.
