Broome County Public Library
We're More Than You Know!

The Library Board of Trustees
This is the governing body of the Library, consisting of 11 members from all over Broome County. The Board’s role is
to see that the library is well managed in a manner consistent with the law and with the policies that they have established.
The duties of the library trustees are few in number, but broad in scope. They require the ability to
select a qualified library director, to develop sound policies, to assure adequate financing and money management,
to be good public relations representatives – strong library advocates, and to plan and evaluate established goals.
The Library Board of Trustees meets on the first Thursday of every month at 8:30a.m. in the Library board room, 2nd floor.
The public is welcome.
