Korean Fighter Kites

The Korean fighter kite is a signature cultural artifact, with special techniques, motifs, and accessories for construction, decoration, and flying. Fighter kiting is a popular sport throughout Asia, but Korean fighter kites are known for being especially fast and tough. Join us for this two-day workshop where you’ll learn how to make your own Korean fighter kite. Recommended for teens ages 12-18. This program is made possible by funding from the BOOKS Program and Senator Fred Akshar.
