Origins of St. Patrick's Day February 22nd @ 6:00

The Broome County Public Library will host a free presentation entitled The Origins of St. Patrick's Day. The presentation, given by Dr. Timothy P. Bridgman, a local published Historian, Instructor and Reference Librarian at the Broome County Public Library, is intended to focus on the history of the holiday which is called Saint Patrick’s Day and how it was created.  Registration is required. Knitting Group-Mini Class February 20th @ 5:30

The group is open to knitters of all skill levels. Bring a project to work on during the meeting. The group also works on various charity projects throughout the year. If you would like to learn to make fair isle fingerless gloves, bring two colors of worsted weight yarn and size 8 double pointed needles to the meeting. Library Closed on Presidents' Day

The Library is closed on Monday February 19th.  We will reopen on Tuesday at 9:00am.

New York Library Association's Library Advocacy Day is Wednesday, February 28, 2018.  Librarians from Broome County Public Library will travel to Albany to meet with our State Representatives to let them know that Libraries are a vital community resource.  If feel Libraries should be adequately funded, you can fill out a post card and drop it off at the Library by February 27th or email it to
