Catch the Reading Bug
Adult summer reading program

June 30 - August 20
Summer reading isn't just for kids anymore!
Adults (age 18 and up) can have fun reading too! If you read three books and answer a few questions about them, you can enter to win one of two gift certificates to Cortese Restaraunt.
Pick up entry form at the Information services desk, or print the entry form and return it by August 20th. All participants will receive two tickets to the August 20th B-Mets game.

Catch the Reading Bug @ the Broome County Public Library!!
Bored this summer? Nothing to do? Sign up for our Summer Reading Program, and the whole family will go buggy over activities, reading, storyhour programs, craft programs and special events in the Decker Community Room and more!!
Registration begins Monday, June 30th. Children up to age 13 can pick up a coloring poster for the annual contest.

The Hungry Ear

Judy McMahon and friends will entertain you with dramatic short story readings. This month will feature stories written by Joyce Carol Oates.
Open to everybody, no registration required.



Free Computer Classes

Thursdays, 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Lawson Computer Lab

ATTENTION: The May and June computer classes are now full.
There will be no classes during July and August.
Beginner and Intermediate classes will resume in September.


Bus Trip to Mount Vernon

Sept. 12th-14th (Friday to Sunday)
The Friends of the Library, in conjunction with Sawtelle Travel, are sponsoring a trip to Mount Vernon, the historic home of George Washington. This includes round trip transportation, 2 nights hotel stay, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and more.
