CENSUS:
Area census records, from 1790 to 1930 are available on microfilm for a multi-county area
around Broome County and northern Pennsylvania.
The 1880 census for the United States on CD-ROM can be used on
the Local History and Genealogy Center's public computers.
Census records can also be accessed through Ancestry.com on the Library's computers.
HeritageQuest can be accessed from a home computer with a valid Broome County Public Library card.

COMPUTERS:
Four computers provide access to the internet for researchers.
The Broome County Public Library subscribes to Ancestry Library Edition and HeritageQuest.
In order to use the internet you must have a library card, available to qualified patrons
at the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the library.
Out-of-town researchers may sign-up to use a guest card.
