The late J. Donald Ahearn, a Binghamton industrialist and business man, founder of the prestigious Universal Instruments Company, bequeathed a generous amount of money to establish the Business Resource Center. The purpose of the J. Donald Ahearn Business Resource Center is to foster the growth and development of small business in the community. The Center, now a clearinghouse of information for business students, employment seekers and small business entrepreneurs, became a reality thanks to the concerted efforts of the Broome County Library Administration and the unfailing support of the estate of the late Mr. Ahearn.
The Ahearn center has resources in our book and tape collection to assist you with both of these tasks.
